About Phoebe

Professional training and experience

Phoebe graduated from Liverpool University as a Veterinary surgeon in 2000. She has a wealth of medical and surgical experience in Equine, large and small animal practice and within charities in the UK. She trained in Veterinary Acupuncture with the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists in 2012 and has successfully used acupuncture alongside her conventional veterinary medicine ever since. Phoebe has since qualified with a certificate in Veterinary Herbal Medicine from the College of Integrated Veterinary Therapies in 2018.

Phoebe has a particular interest in the effective management of chronic pain in animals, especially in elderly and debilitated patients. Acupuncture has proven time and again to offer a gentle, effective means of alleviating pain alongside or instead of conventional medicine.

Phoebe is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA), the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists (ABVA) and the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists (BAVH).
