Wirral Veterinary Holistics
A balanced, gentle approach to your companions health
A Veterinary Surgeon based in the Wirral providing effective, accessible and affordable veterinary acupuncture and complementary therapies throughout Wirral and the surrounding areas. I treat horses out at your yard and smaller animals by home visit. As an experienced and practising veterinary surgeon I am more than happy to work alongside whatever treatments your own vet has prescribed.
Veterinary Acupuncture
Acupuncture has successfully been used to treat animals and humans for more than 2000 years. It is an incredibly safe therapy if practised by a professionally trained veterinary practitioner and is non-stressful for both animal and owner. It is the treatment of choice for a quarter of the world’s population for many ailments. It is a complementary and holistic treatment, so it works effectively alongside the existing treatment plan prescribed by your veterinary surgeon. I will coordinate with other professionals involved in your pet’s health and well-being such as hydrotherapists and physiotherapists. This collaboration enhances the effects of each therapy and helps us reach our shared goal of a content, long lived companion.
Canine Bowen Technique
Canine Bowen Technique (CBT) is a holistic, gentle soft tissue technique which aims to support and encourage the dog’s natural ability to heal itself. It is a non-invasive hands-on technique that aims to promote healing, pain relief and energy rebalancing.

I had to take Doris, my 11 year old French Bulldog, to the vets in February 2022 with a sore eye and mentioned to Phoebe (who I didn’t realise at the time was able to administer acupuncture) I thought Doris was starting with CDRM; that is when Phoebe asked had I ever considered acupuncture for her as there was so little medicinally that can be done for the disease. I was only too willing for Doris to have acupuncture on a regular basis as I know how well it works for CDRM, due to a previous experience of a Boxer with the same condition. Now in January 2023 Doris is still mobile and has a good quality of life and enjoying two daily walks. I can highly recommend this treatment for this otherwise untreatable disease.
